CHIRON-X1TM HIGH-IMPACT TRAINING ARMOUR

Chiron’s flagship product, the Chiron-X1TM takes CQC training to a completely new level of realism. Combining superior agility with unparalleled levels of protection, the Chiron-X1TM allows personnel to really ‘Train as they Fight’ using realistically high levels of force and speed, while engaging within traditional safety distances for marking munition round (MMR) training.

A highly protective, full-coverage training armour system, the Chiron-X1TM is designed to withstand high levels of impact force and speed to vital targets including the head, neck and chest from blunt weapons during close-quarter combat (CQC) training. The Chiron-X1TM enables concurrent CQC and MMR (kinetic to non-kinetic) training without stoppage or changing equipment.

The Chiron-X1’s unique lightweight design allows extensive movement, flexibility, and faster reaction times, enabling personnel to train more realistically for longer. The unique, patent-pending solution provides unparalleled head, neck, throat and cervical spine protection against compression, hyperextension and whiplash during high-force CQC training.

The Chiron-X1TM consists of a washable hygiene/comfort layer (Chiron Layer ZeroTM) worn under a hard armour chassis layer and an external high-impact outer shell. The Chiron Layer ZeroTM is made from a range of high-tech, high performance fabrics and comes in a range of options.

The Chiron-X1TM comes in Small, Medium and Large sizes that feature a high degree of adjustability and options designed specifically for female personnel.

CHIRON-X1RTM – PROTECTION FOR FIRST RESPONDERS

The Chiron-X1RTM is a highly protective, active duty, full body armour system designed especially for Law Enforcement, Defence, Security and Corrections personnel. The Chiron-X1RTM Riot Armour is ideal for civil unrest/riot protection, and highly dangerous scenarios including violent prisoner cell extraction and transportation, and high-risk security applications.

Lightweight and extremely manoeuvrable, the Chiron-X1RTM offers extensive coverage against a range of threats including heavy blunt weapons, bladed weapons, spikes and projectiles. Designed to withstand high levels of force and speed of attacks to vital targets such as the head, neck and chest, the Chiron-X1RTM offers enhanced levels of coverage and protection over traditional riot protection equipment.

The Chiron-X1RTM provides hard armour protection to the head and face, neck, shoulders, upper arms, elbows, forearms, chest, back, abdominals, groin, thighs, knees and shins. Secondary stab resistant protection is provided to joints such as the tops of arms and legs, backs of legs and armpits. A fire resistant underlayer is available as an optional extra.

The Chiron-X1RTM is made from advanced composites and high-impact absorbing materials, with a range of upgrade options including integrated gas filtration systems, neutral buoyancy and buoyant versions for maritime applications. The Chiron-X1RTM comes in Small, Medium and Large sizes that feature a high degree of adjustability, and options designed specifically for female personnel. Produced in matt black as standard, with a range of customised colour options available.

CHIRON-X3TM – BALLISTIC SOLDIER SYSTEM*

Chiron-X3TM is a highly protective, active-duty, integrated soldier system aimed at the “First-Entrant” warfighter of the future. Lightweight and agile, the Chiron-X3TM has been designed to enhance survivability and mobility of operational personnel in high-risk building-entry scenarios, offering extensive coverage against a range of threats including heavy blunt weapons, bladed weapons, projectiles and small arms fire. Designed to withstand high levels of force and speed of attacks to vital targets such as the head, neck and chest, the Chiron-X3 is ideal for violent close-quarter combat applications and will be available in a range of threat level protection options.

The Chiron-X3’s modular design allows full or partial coverage, as required by the user, and customisation of individual components in response to specific threat levels or customer requirements. The system is able to integrate third party technologies such as electronic warfare, biometric sensors, communication equipment, headphones and drone operating technologies, all protected inside the suit.

The system provides hard armour protection to the head and face, neck, shoulders, upper arms, elbows, forearms, chest, back, abdominals, groin, thighs, knees and shins. Secondary stab resistant protection is provided to joints such as the tops of arms and legs, backs of legs and armpits. The unique patent-pending solution will include a range of upgrade options including integrated gas filtration systems, a CBRN version, neutral buoyancy/buoyant versions for maritime use, and increased ballistic level protection for vital targets.

The Chiron-X3TM comes in Small, Medium and Large sizes that feature a high degree of adjustability, and options designed specifically for female personnel. Offered in a range of colours and disruptive patterned materials.

CHIRON X2™ – DATA CAPTURE + ANALYTICS

Chiron-X2TM (under development) utilises the unique X-Series armour system combined with integrated force measurement and biometric sensors. The Chiron-X2 training suit links to a medical database that provides data and analytics on blunt-force and marking munition round (MMR) impacts monitoring the status of the trainee during CQC training.

The Chiron-X2TM will incorporate Chiron’s world-leading, globally patented force measurement sensor solution into the Chiron X-SeriesTM to record the force and anatomical location of strikes and MMR impacts, providing real-time anatomical analysis of injuries incurred had the trainee been unarmoured during a close-quarter combat (CQC) engagement. The long-term data analytics on CQC training effectiveness, generated from the Chiron-X2TM, will lead to significant training improvements and help increase survivability of personnel in operational scenarios.
